Between 29 August and 1 September, Uppsala hosted the 6th Matariki Humanities Network Colloquium on the theme The Past & the Future. During the four days, the 26 delegates representing Library and Faculty, met to discuss the experiences of the past, and to constructively model the forms and content of the future Network activities. The meeting ended on a high note, with a concrete design for the Network’s continued work for academic excellence and for strengthening the Humanities. The busy programme also included visits to the rich resources of Uppsala University—such as the University Library, the Cultural Heritage Collections, and the Digital Laboratory—and social activities, with dinners at student nations, a buffet in Linnaeus’ Conservatory, proper Scandinavian fika-breaks, and a guided walk through historical Uppsala.
